I am responsible for configuring and maintaining the Learning Management System for Aldi across GB and IE. I lead projects to launch new functionality requested by key stakeholders and work with the Training Team to deliver courses and programs to the business.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The apprenticeship itself was quite poor, I was given different trainers and the website changed during my apprenticeship so I felt like a guinnea pig trialling the new website through trial and error, at the expense of my time and efforts. The online training itself was good but the experience was poor.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, my apprenticeship has allowed me to manage and deliver projects much better and also handle change in projects, understanding the variables and what is impacted when something changes means the overall outcome of the project has been more successful.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

In theory it sounded organised but in practice the trainers were not organised and this was at the expense of my training.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer was very good at supporting me especially during key points in the apprenticeship like exams and also helpful giving me opportunities to get different experiences.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

A bit, my trainer helped with guiding me through the training and what would help me, however was not good at helping with unusual issues related to the exam (additional health needs meant my experience was very poor and not sensitively managed).
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I do feel I am better in my role from my apprenticeship and the skills I learnt. The theory of project management is really handy also just to know what to expect going into a project and what steps I should take.
