Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I work on Site as a site engineer, handling my own job, marking out on site, writing up inspections and overlooking the project goes ahead smoothly.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Very much enjoy it as it is a job that i really enjoy and look forward to complete, especially to prove what i am capable of.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes, using the total station with ease now as it has been used on a regular basis.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Can be structured better, its hard to get accountability for the work you have done as u get overlooked, especially towards the higher levels up in the company, however i tend to ignore that and keep working to show how i can be trusted with bigger responsibilities.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive so much support, especially being given the opportunity to become a site engineer, the experiences and being pushed into the deep end has really helped in terms of support and being able to do this job every day.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Every week I go to uni, with meetings with my uni mentor every three month, i would say there's not really any point of these as nothing usual comes out of them, however it is a good method of keeping organised in terms of the evidence writing for the apprenticeship.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Uni work is much harder compared to work, in terms of maths and physics, however this is barely used at work, especially at the high level of Uni.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Yes, plenty of outings and sports event annually.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Vinci to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Given me an opportunity to show my perseverance skills to work and carry a site on a daily basis whilst also working towards my degree.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Vinci?
Be yourself in the interviews, in terms of being open and honest in the work you've done before. Be enthusiastic in what you have to say, show that u are passionate in this work and will be ready to be faced through the hardest of challenges at times to complete this job.
