Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Assisting lead brokers in the placement of insurance. This involves creating insurance contracts based on the clients demands and needs and communicating with underwriters to request insurance quotes.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy my programme as I have a great team to work with an enjoy the work I get to complete. I find the apprenticeship things such as the CPD log and portfolio difficult to manage alongside my day to day work but it is managable.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have developed upon my organisation skills in order to ensure my work is completed in an acceptable time frame and also learnt how to use multiple new systems as well as learning about insurance.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
We have 5 sessions for each module to discuss the main key points however, as the modules have lots of context in them, these do not cover as much of the content as we need. these sessions are also 2 hours long so are a commitment.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
WTW provides support in giving me 20% study time along with sessions with an external provider on each module. However, we only have a few sessions per module so most of the work is independent.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
The growth company have catch ups with me every 4 weeks or so and provide sessions on each module. However, we only have a few sessions per module so most of the work is independent.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
very well, the content you learn in the qualification is mostly relevant to my job role so has helped me develop.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
we have many professional networking events at willis which is great to get involved in.
