Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Right now I am training to be a broker within the natural resources department of Corporate Risk & Broking, day-to-day I work on endorsements for each of the teams within NR and I must go out to the markets and get them agreed.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy the programme, I also like how large the apprentice cohort is and how we are all quite close and talk often.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Learnt many new digital skills - working with excel outlook etc, improved upon my interpersonal skills by having to speak to underwriters face to face.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I know my exact progression and how I can reach my goals which I set every year.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Plenty of support from within the apprenticeship programme, as well as my manager and my colleagues.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Have frequent calls with my coach and able to contact them any time with any problems I may have.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I feel like the Insurance Professional qualification isn't the most helpful and can be quite annoying to do, but the CII dip/cert qualifications are very job specific and very useful.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Lots of (apprentice) networking events, talks, webinars, etc, also there are sports team and 'societies' within WTW and Lloyds.
