Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend EY to a friend?
Yes
Why?
There is a lot of potential for networking, learning outside your chosen service line and generally people are quite nice. You will be working alongside some of the smartest people around, and even if you don't decide to stay after the grad scheme these relationships will be with you for the rest of your career.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
Connect with existing EY employees (L1s, people on the grad scheme currently, seniors, and managers) in your chosen service line on LinkedIn, and see what they say about their experience. E.g., ask about the work they do, how the people are, what their future career plans look like, if they feel they are learning enough etc.
If you are not sure about your career, well worth applying for audit or consulting for a broader experience, and greater flexibility to switch between careers.
If you are in your first year of university, apply for the spring internship. Typically people do receive the return offer for the summer internship after this one, and it also leads to the full time grad offer.
