Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role consists of the end-to-end project management of several high-profile celebration activities. This includes business case writing, running procurement activity, contract management, event management and financial oversight. Daily I am interacting with a wide range of suppliers, project sponsors, delegates and senior leaders.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have really enjoyed my programme. It has been equally challenging and enjoyable, which has kept my desire to achieve a good grade. Being able to directly translate my learning into my work life has been hugely beneficial. It is also giving me the skills and knowledge to be able to progress into a promotion.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt and developed a wide range of skills throughout my apprenticeship including developing my theoretical knowledge of project management, including quality and risk management. I have also been able to actively apply my learnings to real life scenarios, which has led to improved project management throughout the projects.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is very well structured. From a training provider point of view, I have regular calls in my my success manager to check my progression, my off-the-job training and EPA. From work, I have weekly and monthly check ins with my line manager as well as regular review periods with the Department.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive as much support as needed from my employer. From regular check ins with my line manager, through to periodic review sessions with the apprenticeship leads at the Department. I also have access to an internal network of other apprentices, where we can all support each other.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
A lot of support is offered by the training provider, and is open for me to access. There are regular check ins with my success manager, each course leader is available to contact and there are additional support lessons that are available to support other areas such as referencing, English and maths etc.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that my qualification is incredibly helpful in making me perform better in my role. It closely aligns with my day-to-day duties and I can easily bring through learning from my course and apply it into the real world.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

From an apprentice perspective, there are lots of networks that I can (and have) joined, including joint ones with my line manager. There are also a series of networks and groups that I can join to give me additional support if needed, including carers network.

Why?
I get lots of support throughout my job role, but it also provides a perfect place to help support the next generation of learners achieve their goals
