Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
As a project controller I will rotate through placements in cost, risk, data analysis, planning, scheduling etc. through my 4 year degree. In cost I frequently complete weekly reporting duties across my programme and apply submissions for invoicing payment etc.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I really enjoy my apprenticeship - It can sometimes be tough balancing work and university but its definitely worthwhile.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I've learnt how to use a lot of new software such as SAP GUI , Primavera P6 and Excel

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
My work placements are very well managed, planned and structured - My degree work is also fully planned ad laid out online scheduled to the end of my degree.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I have weekly check-ins and daily discussion with my line/placement managers and a monthly check-in with my university link tutor and line manager to ensure I am progressing and to discuss any additional support I may need.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Monthly assessment support sessions to ensure our assignments are on track the week before submission as well as the monthly link tutor meetings to ensure I'm progressing to the expected standard and to address any additional supports I may need.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
My degree work in understanding the theory behind the work efforts seen in the real working industry so few skills are actually transferable in the sense of actually performing the role- On the most part the degree is giving me an understanding of why the work is done
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Frequent work socials and holiday celebrations for early careers grads and apprentices. Frequent team socials in addition to this. Lots of networks for varied interests to join.
