Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Shadowing qualified engineers on breakdowns, working on projects and servicing parts.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy the work that I do and the people I work around make me feel welcome. College is useless as all knowledge taught has hardly any relevance to my work place and most of my knowledge has been learnt and taught by engineers at plant

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Hands on skills with electrical and mechanical have been improved upon to the point I can confidently work on issues on my own

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Structure of programme is unique, however too much workload is put upon us from the college
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Qualified engineers and supervisors assist with breakdowns and are there to give any support where needed, management have no real contact.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Tutors just teach to complete assignments not to deepen our knowledge, ITMs are helpful but are only seen every 3 or 4 months
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Gives me a basic knowledge which allows me to go into work and deepen my knowledge and skills
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
no

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend JLR to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Company treats employees well, with good benefits to working for the company. the work that I do really engages my interests and deepens my knowledge and skills
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to JLR?
Be yourself, the company are looking for people who are willing to develop and learn, not those who's knowledge and grades are slightly better than others. Throw yourself into every opportunity you can to show interest and focus on the bigger picture of the qualification you will get at the end of the apprenticeship
