Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves the removal, overhaul and reinstallation of various mechanical systems.
Day to day could include looking at defects, or cleaning and maintaining removed equipment.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy it quite a lot, when there is work on it’s often quite varied, however there can be periods where little to no work is available.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I have learnt several new skills including how to overhaul mechanical equipment as well as the use of hand tools

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It’s well organised, the training team and ADAs are always available to be contacted if there is an issue and they respond in a timely manner
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Our training team (more specifically ADAs) have regular checkups with us to ensure we are enjoying the course and learning new skills
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We have the ability to ask for a placement change if we think we would be able to complete more coursework or job writeups so that we can complete our qualification
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Our college lecturer applies what we are learning to real world scenarios and uses his past experiences to better explain concepts and ideas
