Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I'm an Office Administrator for the RSPCA, in the IT department. Daily I help manage our IT hardware estate by allocating kit to new starters and auditing centre establishments. I also manage the budget for the IT department by paying invoices and checking forecasts
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoyed the apprenticeship! The delivery was smooth and simple. The workload was manageable and the support I had from my team, training provider and RSPCA apprenticeship team was fantastic

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I've learned a great deal on my apprenticeship. The headlines for me are how to manage and develop high-performing teams through delegation, training and motivation. I learned other skills to add to my toolbely such as using the covey matrix, or the AID model of feedback.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The apprenticeship structure was great! Everything was really well managed via the learning portal called Aptem. You could see what modules needed to be completed throughout the entire course. You could also seewhen your reviews were so preparation was seamless.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I received really valuable support from the RSPCA on both apprenticeships I've completed. I had the team checking in regularly to provide support and motivation to complete my modules!
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My training provider gave me lots of support. I had many contact channels with my assessor, integrated chat in Aptem and email. I also had monthly 121s to check progress and practise demonstrating evidence.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
My qualification has substantially improved my performance. It's been a real eye-opener on my existing skills and behaviours that allowed me to develop them further.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There is always something going on at the RSPCA. IT specifically, we have a social each month to keep everyone face to face. Lots of us are also runners who check in on each other activities outside of work.
