Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Oversee the menu and recipe development for all members that procure through our supply chain. This role involves building stakeholder relationships, managing projects, supporting team members out in the field training.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme has given me a lot of knowledge around coaching theories and how to apply these to individuals with different needs. I have enjoyed coaching some of the graduates in my workplace to support their career aspirations and goals.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have more confidence in doing presentations and have more skills when supporting my team and training our colleagues.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

I think they could have arranged some of the theories earlier in the programme, the workshop days have been a great way to practice the skills I have learned.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My line manager has been very supportive and so has my apprenticeship team. There is a lot of time that needs to be put aside for the work on my apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My coach mentor provides good feedback and the online tutor group work is very engaging and helps towards the wider goals of the programme.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It’s really supported my work with my wider team and when it comes to training. I can now see opportunities to coach people that will benefit from it and add more hours to my coaching practice.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes I work in the diversity and inclusion employee network teams and have the opportunity to join some industry wide network events for culinary and inclusion.

Why?
It’s a great place to feel where you belong and contribute to the wider business goals. The career pathways are a great way to develop yourself, I’m currently on my second one. After 10 years here I’m not ready to leave!
