Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

The Services Engagement Apprentice - Coordinator is a key role within the department covering the triaging of the Engage inbox. My role is to direct incoming requests for Softcat services into the respective department views and redirect to the corresponding teams. I will be the front-facing role for SE and the entry into Services, so exemplifying exceptional customer service is key. I will also be responsible for creating reports and analysing data, supporting stakeholders with important business decisions through our data and innovating the processes and tools to deliver a world-class service to our internal and external customers.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoy my programme as a Services Engagement Apprentice - Coordinator. I appreciate the chance to improve my communication skills, both written and verbal, which allows me to share clear and concise information with team members and clients. Working closely with my team has been a valuable experience, helping me develop better teamwork and collaboration skills. The challenges that arise during service engagements have improved my problem-solving abilities, making me more adept at identifying issues and finding effective solutions. Engaging with employees from different parts of the department and the company has also been fulfilling, as it has enhanced my customer service skills and helped me better understand client requirements to deliver exceptional service. Additionally, the programme has allowed me to gain new technical skills and improve existing ones, such as proficiency with certain software or tools used in my projects. Overall, the diverse experiences and opportunities for growth make this programme highly enjoyable and beneficial for my professional development.

Working closely with my top collaborators like Emily-Jade Simmons, Lee Cattroll, and others, I have developed better teamwork and collaboration skills. Additionally, handling various challenges during service engagements has improved my problem-solving abilities, making me more adept at identifying issues and finding effective solutions. Engaging with clients has enhanced my customer service skills, helping me better understand client requirements and deliver exceptional service. Depending on the specific services I coordinate, I have also gained new technical skills or improved existing ones, such as proficiency with certain software or tools used in my projects.

The structured approach and regular check-ins with Laura Bell make a significant difference in my learning experience, helping me stay on track and address any challenges that arise. This supportive environment from Corndel greatly contributes to my progress and confidence in achieving my qualifications.

At my workplace, there are several extra-curricular activities that I can get involved in, which I find really beneficial. There are social activities and events organized by different networks within the company, such as the Women in Business (WIB) network, which hosts various activities like sound baths, breakfasts, lunches, and inspiring speaker sessions. Additionally, there are opportunities to volunteer at school and college career events, which help me develop my communication and presenting skills. We also have exciting events like Founder's Day, which includes fun games, prizes, and themed activities. End of Quarter (EOQ) drinks are another highlight, providing a great opportunity to socialize and network with colleagues. These activities not only provide a chance to socialize and network but also contribute to my personal and professional development.
