In my role in order fulfilment, I manage the auto-buyer system, which involves solving queries and working closely with distributors and our sales team to streamline processes. I ensure customer orders are accurately processed and delivered on time, resolving any issues that arise along the way. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective time management to balance and tackle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.

Yes, I was given significant responsibility, as I was managing the auto-buyer system alongside another intern. I believe my responsibilities were valuable as it helped me to build independence, improve teamwork and make meaningful contributions to the order fulfilment team.

Yes, I’ve developed key skills since starting this role, particularly my attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills. I’ve learned to spot and resolve issues more efficiently, communicate effectively with both internal and external teams, and ensure accuracy throughout the order fulfilment process. These skills have helped my personal and professional development and boosted my overall confidence, strengthening my future employability and readiness for new challenges.

I received constant support and guidance throughout my placement. I was paired with an aligned buddy who provided regular assistance. I also had one-to-one meetings with my managers for feedback and support and the entire team was always willing to help whenever I needed it. This supportive environment helped me learn quickly and feel confident in my role.

It was the best company culture you could ask for ! Everyone was friendly and welcoming, making it a very fun place to work. There were also plenty of events happening, which helped build a strong sense of community.

I really loved my placement and enjoyed the experience a lot. It was a great environment to work in and I definitely want to return after university.
