Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves supporting different teams in booking out rooms and equipment and travel whilst also providing assistance when possible. The tasks are different on the basis of where we are located but we help support and also complete tasks in the located areas.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the programme a lot due to the many opportunities given and the effort put into us apprentices to succeed.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt skills in all kinds of technology on top of my people skills and how to deal with a customer providing great support. Another skill but be general confidence in many aspects.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very structured with years of experience following how to follow and complete the programme with steps in place to train us to be professionals in every aspect of our working and home lives.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

We receive as much support as is warranted from what we express. The managers in charge are very kind and always looking to support where possible, with wellbeing checks regularly to make sure everyone is in a good place.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We receive a lot of support in constructive criticism so we can perfect our work ready for the end of our apprenticeships whilst also providing positive feedback when something is done well. This totals to receiving a lot of support when it comes to this.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It helps me provide better in my role as I now understand how things work better which when in understanding it allows you to demonstrate this within the role. This helps me to perform better due to knowing what is expected and what is being asked of me.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are a few with one being a residential away and access to a gym and other different events taking place making it very inclusive when it comes to extra-curricular activities.

I would recommend Babcock to a friend due to the great opportunities given within the company and on top of this the training given to you within the organisation is very professional and will give you the maximum output for what you are putting in.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Babcock International Group?
People that are applying should make sure their application is of a high standard and express their ambitions for learning and learning as much as possible as this is a key factor within the company and without that ambition to grow it would be pointless even applying.
