Within Compass UK&I I sit in the digital deployment team. Myself and the team have a 'digital kitbag', which is a variety of digital solutions such as app ordering, order kiosks, digital signage, frictionless stores and many more. It is my responsibility to oversee the process of deploying these solutions to the Compass estate where needed.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have vastly enjoyed the freedom this role has given me. I have spent a lot of time traveling to and visiting many different sites and this has allowed me to pick up skills from different regions and types of site.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, definitely. I have developed many professional and personal skills such as communication both in person and via teams/email. Also interpersonal skills like training staff at site and preparing colleagues for using the new tech.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The program is well structured and it has generally been clear what is needed from us. At some instances it could have been more useful if there was a central set of instructions rather than more so being open to our interpretation.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have received endless support from Compass and the team with which I sit. I have been granted as much time as necessary to complete my work and my colleagues have made it clear if I am unsure then I can come to them.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Likewise to my employer I have received a lot of support from the training provider. I have a monthly catch up call with my coach and someone is always available at the other end of an email.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The theoretical aspects of Project Management I have learned about on the apprenticeship program have formed a strong basis for my practices in my job role. My job is great in reinforcing my learning.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Occasionally myself and the team will hold team building activities. This is great for team relations and morale as it is important to get along with colleagues in a professional setting bet also a casual sense
