Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am currently within the SAP and L&D team. I focus on customer service by answering queries in the mailbox to meet customer needs. I also deal with face-to-face customer interaction on reception.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy learning on the job and being able to experience work life, whilst working towards my qualification. I have had a really good experience so far.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt so many skills since I started my apprenticeship. I have developed both personal and admin based skills. for example, i have improved my public speaking skills and my excel skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is very organised and structured as we are moved around every 4 months and all of my transitions have been successful so far. I am also aware of my coursework timeline and when my observation will go ahead within the year.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I am more than welcome to contact my line manager whenever i require help. I am also so supported by Babcock themselves with business related queries and we also have an on site medical centre which supports me as well if i need it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I can contact my line manager whenever i have a problem and they are more then willing to help and support me.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

this qualification will help me improve further within my role as it shows that i have experience and i know how to present customer service well.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

As an apprentice, I take part in career fairs to present the apprenticeship schemes to schools. I also have to opportunity to take part in be kind days and volunteer days
