Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I assist in project planning, use AutoCAD and Revit for design, communicate with stakeholders, solve on-site challenges, ensure health and safety compliance, and participate in team meetings. This role provides practical experience and skill development in project management and engineering.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I greatly enjoy my apprenticeship program as it offers valuable hands-on experience and skill development. However, there are times when the workload can be overwhelming. Despite this, the challenges help me grow professionally and personally, making the overall experience rewarding and fulfilling.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I've enhanced my project management, technical proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit, communication, problem-solving, health and safety awareness, and leadership skills. Working on real-world projects has allowed me to apply engineering principles effectively and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
My apprenticeship program is well-organized and structured, providing clear objectives and a balanced mix of theoretical learning and practical experience. The only downside is that the training provider sometimes struggles to keep up with supporting apprentices, especially regarding Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors (KSBs) for the ICE.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
While I don't receive much educational support from my employer, I always have colleagues available to help with work-related questions and challenges. This ensures I can effectively complete my tasks and continue learning on the job.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
I receive minimal support from my training provider when working towards my qualifications, especially in terms of Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors (KSBs) tracking which is mandatory yet little to no effort is put into helping apprentices.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
My qualification through the training provider offers some foundational knowledge, but it doesn't significantly enhance my performance in my role. The limited support, especially regarding Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors (KSBs), means I rely more on practical experience and workplace guidance to excel.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
Extra-curricular activities at my work are rare. Social events are never planned or organized, and even the minimum of a Christmas party is not well-organized.
