I am a regional Retail Brand Standards Manager, this entails me visiting sites to train the teams in my area to give them the tools to empower them to do the best job they can, I help mobilise new accounts and work on refurbishment projects on existing contracts
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am thoroughly enjoying my current programme and regularly advocate apprenticeships to my teams when appropriate

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I have found this course is helping me improve myself and the way I deal with my teams everyday, it has taught me new coaching skills and help develop my confidence and presentation skills when I am with the wider senior leadership team.

Compass as a whole and my management team are very supportive of me and checkbin with me regularly to see if I need any extra support

The training I am receiving to achieve this qualification helps me every day improve the way I perform in my role, from getting a better understanding of Compass UK & I's vision and goals and how I then communicate this out to my teams, to understanding my teams on an empathetic level to support them to achieve the companies vision and values

Would you recommend Compass group to a friend?

Why?
I would recommend working for Compass Group UK & I to any member of my family or friends as I can honestly say that the support I have received has been second to non, in fact 2 of my children do work for us already in different capacities. I TUPED over to Compass at the start of the Hestia contract as a 16 hour retail assistant, I have gone on to complete several apprenticeships and currently working toward my Level 5 Operations Management qualification and I am now part of the SLT (all in 6 years). My 1 daughter started her career with us as an apprenticeship chef and is now a Sous Chef and working towards her level 4 apprenticeship, my other daughter is currently working part time as a FSA and is working towards her first chef qualification at college and wants to also work for us full time when she has completed this. I have never worked for a company as supportive as ours.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Compass group?
My honest advice is look for the opportunities that are available to you, do not just think that there is no where for you to grow into as there are a lot more spokes to the wheel that drives us forward as a company.
