Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role is to assist the general manager with the day to day running of our site. My office duties are finances, Profit Protection & HSE. Operationally I oversee our team and help them through their day to day duties.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I do really enjoy my course but sometimes it can feel quite overwhelming and sometimes feel like there is little help when needed.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed new skills in all areas of my role from operations, finances etc

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The organisation could be a little better. The programme is based in London and the communication for the course location can sometimes be last minute. Coming from Manchester this can sometimes be a pain as i have to book travel really last minute.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I do receive time to complete my coursework and some help from SMT. Some of the SMT helping out on the course do not always get back to you when in need of support.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a lot of support when on courses and teams calls with my trainer but sometimes do not always receive timely responses on questions when needed.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think having this qualification will help massively within my role as I am getting to understand some parts of the business that I was a little unsure of or have never done before.

Why?

I have been with Compass Group for around 9yrs in total and i have managed to work my way up in that time. I have been supported a lot through this time both in work and in my personal life from various company employees (management)
