Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Handling queries from Relationship Managers on Business/Commercial/Individual customers on new securities with the bank, i.e. Guarantees, Debentures etc. Creating loan documents for customers and marking loan details on internal systems.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
I enjoy the part where I do my day job but I think the programme I am in, is not tailored to people who work middle to back office positions. It leans more towards front office staff.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Communication skills, knowledge on different types of loans, handling ad hoc tasks, prioritizing work tasks

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
Not too well, all of the submissions that I made had requirements of customer interactions which a back office staff member like me do not have. I have to manually tweak some requirements so that I can complete my submission and fulfill the learning outcomes.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
A lot, I get time to complete my learning and studying on a daily basis. And having regular check-in conversations with both line managers.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
more towards the end of my program because of the workload increment. Trainer made sure I had sufficient time for my submissions and understand how to perfect my submissions before heading into the End Point Assessment
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
It helped me understand my role better by having regular reflective statement submissions. But it could be organized better to fit people who work back office that do not have customer interaction in their roles.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Yes, there are networking events and volunteering opportunities.
