My role as an apprentice involves attending maintenance, diagnostic and fault repairs jobs at customer sites for MRI and X-ray equipment.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy working on medical equipment that is used to help everyday people.

This role helps me develop engineering skills such as mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and electronic skills.

My apprenticeship programme is well laid out and I understand the expectations of the role due to in-depth training and discussions.

My training provider provides a Training Development Assistant (TDA) that is always at hand to support with workloads and End Point Assessment (EPA) learning.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification helps mostly with performing the job role I am aiming to achieve at the end of the apprenticeship. Some areas are background knowledge which may not be used everyday, but having the basic understanding helps lead on to more learning aspects.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, Siemens Healthineers provide 2 volunteering days a year for charities, host forums events for team building and extra training is always available if enquired.
