Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Working as part of the defender materiality team, every day is different but we work with the designers to get a product that looks and feels perfect.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am thoroughly enjoying the work i am doing and the people are very kind and will help you achieve your best. I don't enjoy the Uni side as much but that is why i chose to do an apprenticeship rather than uni.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt many skills and developed on existing skills, I have improved my communications and working with employees of different levels. I have learn a lot about how to think as a designer. Improving my presentation skills and learnt how to get valuable feedback and how to use it.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The structure is alright, they could have better organisation, but they try to help where possible.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I get a lot of support from my employer and if i wanted or needed more then they are very helpful and would try everything to support me.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
They give us enough support to pass the exams, we can reach out to them if we need help and they will mostly help. The tutors are very good at trying to make sure that everything is going well.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It hasn't helped me yet but it is giving me good knowledge that I may use in the future.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I take part in the sketch club and walk and talk events, there are loads of different communities to get involved with and everyone is very welcoming.
