Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Engineering tasks on different placements in various teams, interacting with staff on many levels.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
It was really rewarding and assembled in a fun and interesting way. The placements allowed you to see throughout the business and experience working with a variety of different people. Having a degree to show for it at the end was excellent, and the training was superb.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt only new skills as i didn't initially come from a broadcasting background. Typing this response now as a competent broadcast engineer.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The organisation was almost perfect, the course start time affected some aspects, as it was the backend of Covid-19.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Plenty of support and guidance was available throughout.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Plenty of support and guidance was available throughout.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Coming from a mechanical engineering background, the training given by the BBC and Ravensbourne helped me to be able to work in broadcasting on a day-to-day basis.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are plenty of opportunities available.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BBC to a friend?
Yes
Why?
The degree apprenticeship was second to none, really helped me to secure a promising future.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BBC?
be as honest as you can be, and think about how existing skills can fit into your chosen job role, in my case, thinking analytically was a big factor.
