Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My L4 Data Analyst apprenticeship interlinks with my role within the water efficiency department - I find useful ways to streamline and make our analysis of water consumption more efficient, and am able to pull insights from large datasets using Excel, Python, SQL and more.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I have thoroughly enjoyed my programme - it is tailored to each individual, and I am able to get support at any time. There are regular check ins with my apprenticeship provider, and Northumbrian Water supports apprenticeships massively in terms of development.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learned SQL and Python coding languages, and have massively developed my skills within PowerBI, MS Excel and more - I am able to communicate effectively and present my skillset.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
There is a clear expectation set of the work set to be completed, I can contact my tutor for support at any point and they communicate with my manager regularly to check in and provide progress reviews and support.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive a lot of support from Northumbrian Water - the company is in full support of apprentices, and am regularly pushed to exceed my own limits and gain new experiences in different departments. I feel involved and important.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive a good amount of support from my training provider through regular check ins, an online platform where I can log all of my work, track my hours and more.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I have learned many skills that others in my team may not know themselves, which allows us to find the most efficient ways of handling data. I have gained a lot of understanding of technical skills which other members of my team have spent years gaining knowledge of.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Within Northumbrian Water, apprentices are expected to engage in networking events, including an apprentice-led Early Careers Conference, Apprentice days for team-building, social activities, and partake involvement in our yearly week-long conference.
