Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Inventory Control during the night shift including selector checks, inventory and stock level checks.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
The course content is good. Support at work could be better. I'm not getting the experience to use my skills practically.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Developed my active listening skills. I also appreciate what different people can bring to the team.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Course is structured well although I found the introduction tricky. There was very little communication in the beginning which led to feeling a little lost.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
2/5
I am given time to get through my course work but no experience yet using the skills practically which is a problem as I need a portfolio of evidence built throughout the course.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
The support is great. Both the Workshop presenter and coach are open to questions and reply quickly.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
It gives me insight into team dynamics, policies and procedures as well as management types so I can identify these as I work but I have no practical experience using anything I've learnt so far.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Not that I'm aware of. We do have an internship hub where we can chat to other interns about their course experience.

Would you recommend Aldi to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Aldi is a good place to work if you require flexibility or are looking for an income supplement. If however you are wanting a career and promotional opportunities then look elsewhere.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
Be prepared to work hard but for that you're paid fairly.
Brush up on your maths skills.
