Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work as a PMO Analyst and this is only some of what I do on a day to day basis. I manage invoices, monitor budgets, and communicate with presidents and stakeholders. I vet offshore resources, oversee cost and revenue adjustments, and ensure financial accuracy to support the account effectively.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I love every aspect of my programme. From the apprentices I work with academically to the team members I work with every day. I love the new challenges I face, learning from mistakes and learning from wise and experienced colleagues around me.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a lot of skills, especially because you are exposed to loads of new systems and applications. Paired with amazing support, the more I was exposed to the systems and the more I used them - I became more familiar with them.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is very well structured. From the support you get at every step, from every team, to the resources available. The Cap share point is so well structured, making it easy to find anything you need.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support. Whether it be from my people manager, helping with reviews and my academic work. To my line manager, assisting with work I am doing on my account. Even others colleagues I don’t work with, they give amazing support. Advice from loads of different people is amazing.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The right amount. I have regular calls and check ups with my people manager to make sure I am on track. Also to make sure that if I’m struggling I’m letting them know, they want to know everything - how you are feeling, what you are happy/unhappy with. It’s very easy to tell them your honest opinion.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification provides valuable foundational knowledge, improving my understanding of financial processes and stakeholder management. However, practical experience and on-the-job training have been the most beneficial for my role’s day-to-day tasks.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes there are loads, despite being based in the North where there are not as many activities as the south (London). I joined the netball team and it was nice to meet employees from different roles and backgrounds - like graduates.
