Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Resolving incidents and problems within the live space, supporting large modernisation projects, shadowing new work, improving current processes within my team and collaborating with stakeholders (internal and client-side) to ensure smooth access to services managed by my team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes, both technical and soft skills. Technical skills developed and applied include Git concepts, Linux, scripting and using software development tools including Jira, Confluence and ServiceNow.
Non-technical skills include communication, stakeholder management, active listening, leadership and organisation.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Quite well-organised, our Early and Emerging Talent team are dedicated to supporting all apprentices with both general and individual queries and concerns. However, university organisation sometimes falls short of our expectations.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
There is little overlap between my role and university module learning, however this is due to the niche nature of my role. Despite this, university has helped equip me with soft skills necessary at work, such as collaboration, leadership and open communication.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes! We have a range of opportunities, including speed networking, sporty get-togethers on a weekly basis, collaboration days which include a social event.etc and our Early & Emerging Talent team are always open to introducing more initiatives where interest is expressed.
