Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I am based at the head office of Ringway. my main role is overseeing all claims that we receive into the business and assisting the company's divisions, our clients, and claimants to ensure that we are delivering the best service.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I am very much enjoying my experience working for the company, everyone who works within the office has been very welcoming and friendly from the moment that I entered the building for my interview, the program has given me a great opportunity to expand my knowledge in the insurance industry and come out with a qualification at the end of it.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learned loads of new skills during my apprenticeship. when I started I had very little experience working in the insurance industry and the training that has been provided by the business as well as the training provider has been very beneficial to me and given me a better insight into the insurance industry.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The structure of my apprenticeship has been great. I started my apprenticeship in September at the end of the summer holidays, for I had meetings on teams with my manager and the training provided to make sure that everything was set-up to make the process of my joining a lot smoother and give me a better opportunity to start the apprenticeship side of my job 1 week after starting in my role.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I have received a lot of support from my employer to make sure that I had everything that I needed to make the experience I had within my apprenticeship as productive as possible. The business itself has a designated team available to support you with any issues that you may be having and, my line manager has been very supportive in assisting me in my development.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My training provider has been very supportive of me with us having monthly team meetings so that I have the opportunity to raise any problems or concerns that I have, my trainer is also very supportive and will always reply to my emails if I have any concerns. They have been very supportive from the very beginning by providing introduction sessions to the apprenticeship.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I am currently doing my CII in Insurance and the training that has been provided has been very beneficial for me. they have provided dedicated webinars before taking the tests for my apprenticeship, this is very beneficial as it ensures that I understand everything before the test and gives me the opportunity to ask questions.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
At the beginning of the, there is a calendar sent out to all staff of stuff that is going on each month, this includes: Workplace in Bloom, SAtep to Health, and VINCI Environment days. The company also has quarterly shared services briefings to keep everyone that works within shared services of what is going ion in the business

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Vinci to a friend?
Yes
Why?
As it is a very supportive environment to work in and is very supportive of all employees. They are also a business set to be better in what they do and provide support to all members of staff and show their appreciation of the work that you have done that year.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Vinci?
Do It.
The whole experience for me so far has been great and I could not recommend it more. The first day that I came in for an interview I was nervous as expected but as soon as I entered the building I was greeted by reception and had a conversation with the receptionist that helped me settle my nervousness. I am currently coming up to the halfway point of my apprenticeship and must say it has been one of the best decisions of my life.
