My role as an early years level 3 apprentice is to care and support children’s learning in there different areas of development.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

As much as some days it can be a quite challenging role and there is some difficult days i do really enjoy my time as an apprentice and being a part of the children’s growth of development
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes i have learnt lots of new skills during my time as an apprentice including lots about safeguarding and what do if i had concerns. Many different legislations and policies.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is quite organised, i get an off the job regularly to complete my course work, time out to complete any training/noodle now courses.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

A lot of support is given in the different areas if i’m ever struggling i never feel nervous to speak up for help my manager is very helpful and always up for supporting me if it means im getting as much work done as fast a i can
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We have zoom calls and in person meetings regularly to go through different topics/modules and if i have any struggles with any of the work i am always welcome to email or ring for help of my tutor to help with things towards my EPA and qualifications
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

During my meetings with my tutor she always gives me different kinds of advice when it comes to practice to help me preform to the best of my abilities in my room
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have rugby tots that come in every friday to do a sports session with the children which is super helpful towards there physical skills, we have udeskole trained staff members throughout the nursery to which they then do outdoor based activities to gain there interest to outdoor play more often.

Why?
Teamwork is great here, staff memeber always support one another. One difficult days were always there for eachother to gain routine to help them achieve the best out of a bad day.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Kids Planet Day Nurseries?
Look into the role and prepare themselves for the challenging days it won’t always be sunshine’s and rainbows, but being a part of the children’s growth and development makes me proud and happy
