My day-to-day role includes creating eye-catching job adverts and posting these out to attract top talent and attending job fairs. I also offer recruitment support to each of our nursery settings, which includes tailored recruitment processes and training sessions.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have really enjoyed being able to learn whilst on the job, and apply what I've learnt to improve my knowledge. My role at Kids Planet has given me a whole new perspective on the importance of Early Years Education, and it’s so rewarding to be part of that.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

As a Careers Apprentice at Kids Planet, the knowledge and experience I’ve gained throughout my apprenticeship course has been really eye-opening, and the skills I’ve learned have been so valuable in my role. I’ve been able to apply what I’ve learned directly to my day-to-day work, which has helped me to grow both professionally and personally.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

I did have a bit of a tricky start with my apprenticeship, some workshops I was booked on to never took place, and I didn't feel I was receiving the best support. I voiced this to Juniper training and they reacted quickly, and since then I have had no issues. The structure and organisation is much better and I have been provided with lots of great resources to help me towards my end point assessment.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

What really stands out to me is the support I’ve received from my colleagues. From day one, everyone has been so encouraging and always willing to help. It’s amazing to work alongside such a supportive team who genuinely care about my growth and development.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I did have a bit of a tricky start with my apprenticeship, the communication between tutors wasn't great and I didn't really feel as though I had strong support from my own tutor. I voiced this to Juniper training and they reacted quickly, and since then I have had no issues, my new tutor is great and has provided me with lots of great material to help e prepare for my EPA..
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I do find a lot of my course helpful, some parts are more recruitment agency based rather than internal recruitment based, but I am able to apply a lot of my knowledge, including best recruitment practices and employment laws and regulations.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are lots of great things that I am able to get involved in with my colleagues at Kids Planet, we currently do a walking club each Thursday, we also try to organise lots of social activities outside of work, including team building exercises, meals outs, scavenger hunts, etc.

Another thing I love is that my own little boy attends one of our nurseries, so I get to see firsthand the incredible work that goes into creating a positive environment and encouraging each child’s potential. My role at Kids Planet has given me a whole new perspective on the importance of Early Years Education, and it’s so rewarding to be part of that.
