Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I am currently working as a apprentice and constantly receiving training, I have been using the NatWest systems to solve customer email queries for return payments, cheque amends and account closures, being in a international based team makes it so that I have to work with international currencies and accounts.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy the program since I have the opportunity to improve my skills and see how people who already work in such environments feel about their workplace. The branch that I work at is really good as it has a lot of people who are really easy to talk to and are extremely helpful with anything I ask whether its with work or just to have a chat.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt more technology based skills working with the systems in NatWest, I have also improved my problem solving skills and time managements skills as I have had to figure out parts of queries that were not a standard and completed them to the best of my abilities. I have improved my time management by having deadlines set for specific queries as to make sure that the queries are completed on time and meet company standards.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I would say that it is really well structured as it gives us enough time to complete our assignments on time and the structure of the modules makes it easier to manage while also working.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
The support we receive from our managers is always helpful, they always have a keen eye out on us and constantly ask if we need any help or support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
We have great training providers, as they listen to what we have to say and if we have any issues they are also very supportive with what we have to do. Especially on time, they are able to help us with any deadlines that may need to be pushed back by a week or 2.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Through this course we have been able to understand the role on a better level and gain more knowledge not just on the role but the whole bank, whether its from how we speak to customers to how the bank operates to make sure that the customer gets what they want.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are a lot of social events that happen throughout the year with NatWest. In the branch that I work at we usually have a US United event that makes all of the teams that work in that branch come in to do some fun activities while also helping everyone socialize between each other. There are also team based events such as dinners and team hangouts.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend NatWest Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Honestly, I'd recommend NatWest to a friend as it has really good customer service support, the people that work for customer service are great as they always try their best to make sure that the customer gets the treatment and satisfaction that they deserve. NatWest makes it really simple to do online banking as they have a mobile app that is really easy to use and allows you to do everything you need banking wise right from your phone.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
The advice that I would give would be to always remember the core values and CPC's that come with working at NatWest. Make sure that you research the specifics such as the culture of the workplace and the details of the role that you are applying for, even if it sounds obvious the more straightforward you are the easier it is to show who you are and what you value. Tailoring your CV also makes it easier to see what goals align with NatWest and how you are capable of achieving great things by working with them.
