Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Assisting the Relationship Manager I am aligned to. This involves contacting customers to have a meaningful conversation with them, checking if their is any thing that they need from myself or the RM. This involves speaking to customers regarding fraud and helping with certain processes.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I am really enjoying my programme.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt many new skills, involving learning new systems and processes along with learning professional skills through the online training sessions.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is well structured and follows well, the online sessions have been set out in advance to allow for the best chance of attendance and regular catch up with my BPP coach is beneficial to providing support and structure.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I am receiving sufficient support from my employer
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I have monthly catch ups with my coach from the training provider, in these sessions is a chance for me to catch up with my coach one to one as well as get any support I need, but I can also email my coach at any time and get a quick response back and if the problem needs discussing in more detail a zoom call will be set up to go through the problem very quickly.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The qualification has helped me in my role by going into detail regarding the financial industry to help me understand how my role fits into the sector, the qualification has helped me in my role as it goes into details about fraud, which is a key talking point in my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are team activities, for example we are going on a team walk at the end of March, there are also networking events within the office building, for example I attended a 'Women in business' event which provided the opportunity to connect with woman entrepreneurs as well as other colleagues in the business.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend NatWest Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
The bank provide a supportive environment to learn and develop, very much encouraging and focusing on personal development. The apprenticeship scheme is well structured and you are provided with allocated time away from 'the day job' to complete the apprenticeship learning.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
Be yourself, and remain resilient. Although the application is long, you do stand a chance, and if you get through to the interview my advice would be to make sure to prep, before the interview I was sent a pack with the job description and NatWest's values. I used this pack to create an outline for my answers, a question was asked regarding each value, and by using this pack and the STAR technique, I could provide an in-depth answer to the questions asked which kept me calm.
Another piece of advice would be to think through some examples in which you have demonstrated good customer service if you are applying to a role involving cuzto9mer contact.
