Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role primarily includes progressing cases and dealing with external stakeholders like Prisons , Courts etc. I will rate my experience so far as great as staff are respectful and there is plenty of learning and training support available to all apprentice
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme is good although i find some aspect of it repetitive . Example will be reviewing monthly news letters.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes , I have become more confident in using Microsoft teams . Drafting professional emails and using IT systems to collect and store data within my department.

The programme appears to be very structured.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

There is plenty of support available through work shadowing, mentoring and training.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Training Provider provides good and quality training to me an apprentice and I find my tutors very supportive in my quest to complete the qualification.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

So far everything is great and I feel at the end of the apprenticeship programme i would have developed key skills in operational delivery or business administration in general as this is a new area to my skills.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

At the moment, sadly there haven't been any but i would recommend my employer organises one. Example will be to visit prison, Border Force etc to learn about the work within such organisations.

It is a remarkable institution to start as a beginner and i believe there is plenty of opportunity to learn and grow if they are interested in legal systems.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Home Office?
Be thorough and honest in your application. let your personality stand out by being practical to questions asked during interviews.
