Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Managing governance and compliance for water hygiene business. Looking after process and procedures, company accreditations and training and development of staff. Responsible for internal and external audit, technical bulletins and supporting our operations team in the delivery of service to our customers.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It took me longer than it should have - due to a break in learning. Once I made the decision to progress to completion I took a lot more enjoyment out of the course - and utilised the skills I learned in my day to day work. The end result was well worth the effort!
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Learnt and developed new skills. Have become more aware of emotional intelligence, understand my personality profile better, strategic thinking and project management skills. Have become a better and more effective leader as a result.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It changed a bit over the course - due to some updates in versions. But very easy to follow and understand what is required and when tasks need to be completed by.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I received adequate support from my line manager and employer. Due to the nature of my role and the dedication the course requires - I did do a lot of work outside of my normal working hours. But I expected this and accepted it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Adequate support. My learning partner was always on hand to talk through any issues or problems I was having. We also met face to face on occasion which was of benefit - especially towards the end of the course when I was finalising my portfolio and preparing for EPA.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It has greatly helped me. To have the qualification shows that I am dedicated to bettering myself - but it also gives me further development in the skills needed to move to the next step in my career.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Professional networking events are in place and we do attend as and when these are on offer. No social or sporting events that I am aware of.

Huge company with huge opportunity. The training and development on offer is fantastic. They will support you if you want to progress within the business.

Apply for jobs that interest you - ask someone who works there for further information on the company. Research via the website and social media.
