My role as an early years practitioner was to ensure I was keeping the children safe and ensuring I was supporting their development.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoyed my programme but the start of the year was not very well supported. Second year was supported a lot more so began to enjoy it a lot more

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have majorly increased in confidence when speaking to parents and working with children. I have increased in confidence in making new activities and supporting them and creating new opportunities for language.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

First year of my programme wasn’t very well organised, due to it being solved in my second year I felt more organised and had more support and what was expected of me was more structured than before.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My new tutor was amazing, she spent so much time ensuring I was okay and replied to my questions as quick as she could. In our first meeting she gave me tips on how to get through the coursework and I couldn’t of done it without her.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

She was amazing with my exams and always made sure I was up to date and my exams were booked in
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that the coursework has incredibly boosted my confidence and knowledge and I feel as though I have become better as a practitioner
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Unsure if it counts but we did training relevant to the work such as makaton training and safeguarding.

It was a very well supported second year for me and I couldn’t of done it without her help
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Juniper Training Limited?
Ensure tutors are actively communicating with their students as much as possible as I felt I could’ve finished earlier if my first tutor would’ve given me an action plan
