Overview of the Experience
Please give an overview of what your work experience involved:
Day 2: Attend meetings on progress of VQ's , finish a data logging task from the other day and meet with data analyst to discuss ways of which data can be presented for greater understanding of progress within workgroups.
Day 3: meet manager of early careers where I have details of different degree apprenticeships and progression routes into careers as a young person. I sit in on a call with an apprentice of the year candidate. I am given the tasks of giving feedback on the internship and apprenticeship sections of the Pearson website. I am then given an aptitude test. I also have the opportunity to meet a member of the governmental relations sector of the company where we discuss his job role and connections which he has with the UK government.
Day 4: learn about the international segment of the company, and am tasked throughout the day to log dates about the different countries Pearson is opperating in. I end up learning about and utilising AI to do so, converting data spread out online into easily accessible excel sheets which can be shared and used through Pearsons work systems. I also meet with the data analyst team to discuss ways of sharing data and how to convert raw data points into presentable graphs.
