Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves solving day to day engineering problems, creating and updating process documents to improve the efficiency of the company and working with hand and air tools to produce and assemble complex automotive assemblies. This involves mixing and applying a variety of adhesives and using jigs to successfully complete my tasks
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I very much enjoy the work side of the programmes, the projects we undertake interest me highly and I look forward to working. The education side of the programme is less enjoyable. It isn't run very well at all and has been made very confusing. There are improvements to be made in that respect
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a lot about Microsoft office and the company specific software for tracking components through the production cycle. I have also learnt how to carry out complex assemblies, how to fit components together and how to work more efficiently. My time keeping and work ethic has improved and I am well versed in most areas of the automotive production industry

Our programme at college is not very well structured at all.

We receive good support from our employer, we have time to complete assignment work in work and have day release to the college every week
