My role involves supporting students on a day to day, with their learning and personal needs. I offer support to teachers and higher level staff, too.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have really enjoyed my program. I have learnt lots and received sufficient support throughout.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed communication, organisation and problem solving skills. I have learnt how to build relationships with pupils and build trust with colleagues.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It’s well organised & well structured. I always knew what task I was supposed to be completed, and somebody was always available if I was ever unsure.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I received great professional and personal support. When struggling personally, I was offered support from both my manager and my tutor.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Whenever I needed support, it was available and I knew where to go for it. The support offered is at the apprentice’s level of need.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification has significantly improved my ability and confidence in my role. I understand my tasks, procedures and child development significantly better with my qualification.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I have not been made aware of events, but there is an apprenticeship newsletter sent out monthly to highlight good work and important news.
