In my role as an Office Administrator, I supported the smooth daily operation of the school by managing administrative tasks, handling communication with staff, parents, and students, maintaining accurate records, coordinating appointments, and assisting with general office duties. I ensured the office remained organised, efficient, and welcoming, contributing to a positive and professional environment for the whole school community.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Through my LMP Business Administration Apprenticeship, I have gained several new skills and strengthened many existing ones. I developed strong administrative skills such as managing documents, organising meetings, and handling office communication more efficiently. I also improved my knowledge of data entry, record keeping, and using office software including Microsoft Office and internal school systems.
In addition, I built confidence in customer service by communicating effectively with parents, staff, and external agencies. I enhanced my time-management, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities through daily tasks and apprenticeship projects. Overall, the apprenticeship has helped me become more organised, professional, and confident in delivering high-quality administrative support.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My programme is well organised and structured, with a clear timetable and learning plan that supports my progress. I receive regular training sessions, planned assessments, and consistent guidance from my tutor, which helps me stay on track with my apprenticeship tasks. The learning materials are easy to follow and each module is delivered in a logical order, making it straightforward to understand what I need to complete and when. Overall, the programme provides good structure and support, allowing me to balance my apprenticeship work with my responsibilities in the workplace.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a good level of support from my employer throughout my apprenticeship. They provide clear guidance with my daily tasks, help me understand new responsibilities, and ensure I have the resources I need to complete my work. My colleagues are approachable and always willing to answer questions or offer help when needed. I am also given time to focus on my apprenticeship work and complete my off-the-job training. Overall, the support from my employer has helped me build confidence and develop my skills effectively.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive strong support from my training provider while working towards my qualifications. My tutor checks in with me regularly, provides detailed feedback on my work, and explains anything I am unsure about. The training sessions are structured and easy to follow, and I can always contact my tutor if I need additional help or clarification. I am also given useful resources and guidance to help me complete my assignments and stay on track with my progress. Overall, the support from my training provider has been consistent and encouraging, helping me build confidence as I work towards my qualification.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My qualification has helped me perform much better in my role by giving me a deeper understanding of key administrative practices. The training has improved my confidence with tasks such as organising documents, managing communication, prioritising workloads, and using office systems effectively. It also helps me understand why certain processes are important, which allows me to work more efficiently and professionally. The skills and knowledge I learn during my training sessions are directly relevant to my daily responsibilities, and I can apply them straight away in the workplace. Overall, the qualification has strengthened my abilities and helped me deliver a higher standard of work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are not many formal extra-curricular activities at my workplace, but there are still opportunities to get involved socially. Staff occasionally take part in team-building days, social events, and informal gatherings, which help build good working relationships. Although there aren’t structured clubs or sports teams, the environment is friendly, and there are chances to connect with colleagues outside of day-to-day tasks.
