I work as a project analyst. This involves analysing the finances for Capgemini on multiple projects within my account, managing resources, forecasts and actuals. I also deliver my findings through month end meetings to upper management.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I already had experience in financial month end but I have learnt new skills that help me fit into a corporate environment, such as networking. I have also learnt new Project management skills.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Internal structure for apprentices and early talent is good, a lot of help available, but a confusing set up at first.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

There are 25 additional study days that we receive a year to help support us on our apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Aston university has support available in terms of emailing lecturers. We have a skills coach who we have a meeting with every 3 months.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel like the CMDA apprenticeship has so far not been applicable to my work in project management. I am in my first year.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are a huge number of activities to get involved in, football, eet socials, sustainability communities, art communities. The list is endless.

I would recommend Capgemini because they are a great company to work for who encourage employee wellbeing and offer the flexibility needed. There are numerous opportunities to progress.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Capgemini?
Apply as soon as you see the opening as they sometimes close early. Research the company, express yourself and stand out in your assessment centre.
