Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role includes the qualifying of new business opportunities as well as progressing a sale. I am involved at all stages of the customer journey. In addition to this, I am involved with promoting Samsung products with account managers at resellers and distributors.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I thoroughly enjoy the programme that I am on. I really enjoy developing my own skills and confidence whilst also learning about the professional and corporate world. I am learning something new every day which brings me great happiness as I believe it is making me a more competent worker.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt many things so far. The main thing I have learnt is about pitching and presenting as this is the majority of my job role. As well as this, I have learnt about what makes a business opportunity profitable and worthy of pursuing. In addition to this, I have also developed my research skills as a lot of the opportunity finding for me comes from general information searching.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme that I am on is very well structured. Both the working and studying side are very well regulated with their expectations of me. I am able to plan my days out effectively and so I can also maximise my achievements.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support from my employer whenever I may need it. Whenever I have a question, I will not hesitate in asking as there are various support systems in place that are designed to help not only me as an employee, but also as an apprentice who still has a lot to learn.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Overall, I believe that I receive a lot of support from my training provider as there are many review sessions, peer-learning sessions and an extensive library online of resources. These are all readily available for me whenever I need them and it does have a visible impact for me on my performance.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Overall, I believe that my qualification has a significant positive impact on my job role. All of the skills that I am learning I am able to replicate these exactly in my job role. As well as this, I am also able to reflect on what I have been undertaking so far and look for ways that I may be able to improve through the content provided.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There many extra-curricular activates tog et involved in at Samsung. Most sports have some form or representation at Samsung including cricket, football and badminton. There are many other different seminars to attend and other forms of social activity outside of the office as well as there are frequent networking events for employees to attend.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Samsung Electronics to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would highly recommend Samsung UK as an employer. They have been beneficial in helping me kickstart my career and learn many new things that I wouldn't of been able to beforehand. The culture is one that strives for employees to collaborate and build up their own personal strengths.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Samsung Electronics?
The main piece of advice I would give is to be yourself. The culture of the company is one that greatly pushes the employees to develop themselves as people. As well as that, I would advise anyone applying to fully research the company and what they can offer to you as a person. Finally, another piece of advice that I would give is to ask as many questions as possible as it could really help you in your personal journey with Samsung.
