Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My job role is essentially being a deputy manager and controlling the shop whilst seeking for my superiors advice on what the best choice of action is . When it is my shift , I am in charge and whatever is the best thing to do , we as a team will do that .
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy the program very well . The best part about it is that you have a guaranteed job at the end of the apprenticeship. I also learn new things and I never feel like it’s boring as I am always wanting to prove myself and would like to progress with Aldi in the future with my career. I started my apprenticeship because Aldi prefers to internally promote , which means that if I know the structure of the company at the bottom , then I will be more useful at the top of them company .

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt a lot a new skills and they have highly developed. This can range from my social skills , customer service and my work ethic . I learn something new every week and are currently starting to learn a lot more of the admin side of things . Some things that I have learnt are the basic rules on the shop floor and the latest thing that I have learnt was what happens when an item is recalled and the process is .

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My programe is very well organised and my provider is very helpful when it comes to my questions . I am just about to come to the end of my level 2 course and are ready to start my level 3 soon . It is very well detailed on the slides and useful information that I will be using on a day to day basis.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support from my employer . They all push me really hard to make me progress and to do well . They are always showing me new things , and taking time out of their day to show me in detail . Whenever I have a question , they always talk me through it so I understand which is always very useful and handy to have when at work .
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My provider is very helpful when it comes to gaining my qualifications . I am allowed to message him or phone him whenever I am stuck or have any questions at all . When they come in to my work place , they talk me through the next stages very detailed and what I have to do to achieve the best grade possible.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel like it has given me a lot more confidence because for example , I have learnt all of the legislations and laws that Aldi has to follow , and I am now more clear on that is very useful as I use them every day . It has also taught me how to deal with challenging consumers , and the effects my actions have on their shopping pattern .
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There isn’t much after work activities that I attend or what is possible to achieve . A few of us from work see each other outside of work. There is a large amount of different people who work here and it is interesting how well we work together and get on as we are so different .

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Aldi to a friend?
Yes
Why?
This company is a great place to work and is a well respected company . They pay very competitive prices , have good learning options and very good carer paths for the future . You get 28 day paid holidays, and the managers are always nice and can understand your problems outside of work and take that into consideration.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
Just be your self in my opinion . Just try your hardest be punctual and to be honest . During the interview stage , the interviewer will be looking for your thoughts , how well you respond to other people in your team and your overall attitude to your work . If your attitude is not very good , then you’re very unlikely to get the job .
