Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
If working in development my responsibilities include writing script reports, setting up rooms for meetings, attending meetings, writing spreadsheets and logging information tasks given by my line manager. At CNBC NEWS depending on the department I was mostly just watching the show and helping mix sound and cue Broll, when working with the features department I would transcribe interviews, write distribution and subtitle scripts.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I would say yes because although the work they were giving me might not have been urgent or for people really high up I still felt respected to do the work they asked me.

Yes! So many new skills, but the most valuable is definitely working in a professional office environment and building a relationship with your team.

As much as I asked for, I know that in order to get as much out of it as you want you need to be really proactive about asking for guidance etc and whenever I did, my team was very happy to help

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Working Title was a bit intimidating and exciting, full of amazing opportunities and great people but the overall culture felt a bit money focused, CNBC was great everyone was really team driven as everyone was working really early and everyone supported each other, Carnival has a lovely culture- everyone is really nice and it's more of a relaxed environment.

I LOVED IT! I couldn't think of anything better, this has been absolutely perfect for me and I am so grateful for this opportunity and I have learnt SO much.
