Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I have just been promoted to a Product Manager, so this is a very new experience.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
I have enjoyed the process of the degree apprenticeship, my skills coach from QA was also really good. I do feel that QAs lack of organisation caused unnecessary issues, including missed sessions and a lack of good quality teaching. This was a constant frustration throughout the degree.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I learned numerous new skills and developed existing throughout my time on my degree apprenticeship. Various soft skills in terms of presenting, collaboration etc. as well as new skills in modules where the content wasn't something I had done before.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
Poorly. Whilst my skills coach was excellent, he was the one good thing throughout. There were numerous issues with poor quality tutors, and poor learning materials.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Participation was provided from some of my managers during the programme, and I was provided the flexibility to study and attend workshops.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Some, but only when seeking it directly, and then only some of the tutors were helpful. My skills coach was fantastic.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
A lot, in that its given me exposure and understanding for a much wider breadth of knowledge in digital technology, and I will use all of it in my new role and beyond.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes, there are events, teams in various different pursuits, a choir too.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Sage (UK) Ltd to a friend?
Yes
Why?
There are a lot of opportunities, good benefits and excellent people here.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sage (UK) Ltd?
Persevere, I didn't get a role on my first try. I'm very glad I kept going, applied and improved myself in between, studying other courses in preparation.
