Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role can be split up into office and lab work or a bit of both day-to-day. In the office I reply to the emails, sit on the meetings regarding new projects and write reports. In the lab I carry out experiments regarding particle size, shape or other physical and chemical properties, using techniques such as pXRD, DSC, NIR and others.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I have even been allowed to draft a report and carry out my own projects, that normally only project leads do.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Yes, I have improved my presentation and critical thinking skills. I have also learnt to write better reports and got trained on a lot of new techniques that I did not know before such as pXRD or QicPic.
