Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I work closely with the viewing data for NBCU specificity on streaming platforms such as Netflix. My work involves importing, cleaning, and analysing this data to create insight about our titles and their success in markets around the world. This is used to support sales and strategy as they look to sell this content to linear channels in this market
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a lot of responsibility, often completing projects on my own as well as being a valued member of the team in larger group based tasks.

I have significantly developed my analytical skills as well as my writing skills as I have to report my insights very concisely. I’ve developed a lot of professional skills from my time in the office working closesly with my colleagues.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I received a lot of support and guidance. I had weekly check ins with my manager in which we discussed my week, tasks and areas for improvement. Furthermore, it was very easy to ask my colleagues for advice and guidance whenever I needed it.

It was a great culture, everyone enjoys working together and it’s a relaxed office space on central London as well.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I really enjoyed my internship, I felt like I learned a great deal and made great connections with my colleagues for the future. I encourage everyone to apply for internships as the skills I have learned will always be useful.
