I work on optimising the Sage Intacct web page in US, CA and GB to improve user experience and subsequent conversions.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Due to the specificity of my role, the qualification isn't a perfect reflection of the skills I need to use, however my immediate team sees that I receive training and exposure to compensate.

Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is well structured from a team perspective. There is also a programme put together by the early careers team, which has been communicated generally in an unideal manner, and has shown a general inflexibility towards work load and colleague bandwidth, this feedback has been given numerous times however we've been expressly told there are no changes planned.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my immediate team. However as referenced the early careers team we also liaise with has became inflexible to work with and as a result I do not feel the same degree of support I received last year.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a lot of support, lots of valuable feedback and any additional support or resources I feel would benefit my completion of the course, they have been crystal clear in deadlines and future planning, and are generally fantastic to work with.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

As previously mentioned the qualification doesn't exactly match due to the specificity of my role, however it has provided me with a great foundational understanding to marketing theory and practice, and has definitely assisted in how I approach my understanding of Sage's vast marketing function as a whole.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have an entire charity division I'm heavily involved with, additionally we have a choir I'm aware some apprentices attend, there are also many informal groups with common interests at Sage, such as cycling, running, the arts etc. People go for food together quite a lot, and there is an active informal graduate & apprentice community that makes coming into work a joy.

Would you recommend Sage (UK) Ltd to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It's a great place to get started in your career, however, I would note there are caveats to the company as there are any. I would advise all people considering Sage to read the glassdoor page for reviews, both positive and negative to get an honest view of Sage. I do enjoy working here, however it would be a lie to say it's perfect, though that's true for any workplace. The important thing is to not overestimate your experiences.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sage (UK) Ltd?
Be yourself, Sage tries to cultivate a work force that promotes a certain culture, there is a definite vibe to Sage, although I enjoy it I can imagine not everyone would, so it's best to be yourself and trust you'll match with the right company for your development.
