Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

In the Client Experience Invoicing Team, we handle invoicing as well as other tasks. These include managing re-charges, overseeing unapplied cash for our region among others, and responding to queries from internal teams such as Reg Ops.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am very much enjoying the program and all the new opportunity that we have to learn and grow, within our teams and the wider organisation.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

One of the way that i have developed my skills in this apprenticeship so far is through public speaking, whether this be by volunteering through networks or in my team. These experiences have significantly enhanced my abilities in communication, collaboration and in improving my confidence. Additionally, I have acquired essential technical skills through my role and participation in BlackRock academies
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is clear that a lot of thought and effort has gone into creating this program. In the first two weeks we had orientation which gave us more depth and detail about the company as well as gave us an insight to the many different people within Blackrock. This helped us gain more confidence in our new environment for going into our roles. As well as it is well balanced in the time we have for our job role and to complete our apprentice work.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The support I have received has been sufficient in helping me complete coursework as well as working towards my exams.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It has helped in giving me a better understanding of the finance system, which I didn't know much about before. The content related to my role has enhanced my understanding of certain aspects, but not all of it has been directly relevant so far. However, I am confident it will assist me in the future.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, there are many networks to get involved with, and some offer volunteering opportunities if that is something you are interested in.

Why?
Through this apprenticeship program, I believe there are numerous opportunities for gaining experience and expanding knowledge. Particularly in such a large company, you are exposed to many aspects that may not be available elsewhere.

Embrace the chance to put yourself out there and stay open-minded about the new learning opportunities available.
