Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role being one sitting on the platform overarching many separate business encompasses regulatory oversight, and platform housekeeping at its core. This transforms into a project management role where you are also responsible for reacting to AdHoc (Additional) tasks and working collaboratively with a range of people to achieve outcomes.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

In a company the size of this one, the program makes sure you are continuously stimulated when you want to be. There is an abundant amount you can learn so you never fall into the feeling of being board or lazy, Instead you have the opportunity to interact and conversate with whomever you with from professionals all over the firm.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Technical skills, such as Excel and PowerPoint, being able to expand those capabilities using programs like Macro and SQL. Soft skills happen to be developed everyday, Communication and collaboration skills are endless journey of self development, continually working and learning from new people.

There is an overwhelming amount of support from the Individuals, as a differing stereotype of financial firms the culture that BlackRock encompasses happens to be collectivist meanwhile maintaining the focus on each individuals career.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We receive weekly webinars along with there own support material, this is on top of the examiners study book (which is provided) with there revision and practice exam resources
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The training program gives you the basics through the the semi-advanced definitions of a wide range of asset classes and departments. you are able to leverage your vast understanding of topics to be more impact-full in your day to day.

The Networks are extensive having more than you can think of with a very frequent delivery of social and learning events.
