Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
every day is different, I am always working on something, each exciting in their own ways. Sometimes it would be POing someones credit card, reading an upcoming script, or even going on set for a new movie coming out.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
everything I did was for other people around the world, I was given the same responsibilities that people whos jobs I was shadowing had. I was given people to call, scripts to breakdown, meetings to create etc.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
everything I have seen at these companies, I have learnt. You can go to film school and learn everything you can from a desk, but going into the real film world and watching the people do their jobs, you learn everything first hand. I've learnt communication, courage, good time keeping and even how to make a bomb coffee.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I was given enough support to understand what was needed to be done, but I was also given freedom to fix the problems that I needed to fix without getting any guidance from anyone else. I began to become more confident with doing things and not getting worried about the problems I was about to face because I knew I was going to be able to fix them myself.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Everyone was friendly, loved going out for lunches all together, they loved to chat with me and make me feel like I was apart of the team

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I loved every bit of it, making new friends, understanding the ins and outs of the film world, it encouraged me to keep learning more and not make my heart set on doing just one job role in the film industry. Its made me want to learn even more than Ive been learning now.

What advice would you give to others applying to NBCUniversal
Make sure to keep pushing yourself to learn as much as you can. When youre surrounded by succesful workers, the only way to learn sometimes is to ask them for help.
